Dear Parents

Tomorrow, Friday 12th October - CAFOD Mass - We will be celebrating our Harvest Mass as well as marking Family Fast Day tomorrow.  This will be a non-school uniform day and children are encouraged to bring in a voluntary donation for CAFOD to raise funds to change lives around the world.  The parish are collecting non-perishable food goods for the local food bank appeal, any donations would be gratefully accepted.  Fr. Srinu looks forward to welcoming you to Holy Mass in the morning.  Thank you

Journey in Faith - Alpha Course - Learning More about Christian faith and the Church - Do you want to know more?  Maybe you are a Catholic who has drifted a bit or maybe you have little experience of life as a Christian and want to find out a bit more or just to understand what your children are learning in school.  If you want to learn more in a relaxed and friendly setting please contact Fr Michael on michael@tamworthrc.church

Parking - Can I point out again to parents/grandparents that you are asked not to park on the actual service road which comes down to school.  You are asked not to park in front of the school gates.  You may park in one of the parking bays set back at the top of the drive.  This is because there is one way in and one way out of the school.  If that access is blocked by a parked car, even for a few minutes then an emergency services vehicle such as an ambulance or fire vehicle could be prevented or slowed down.  Please allow extra time for your journey so that you can park up responsibly either in the local area, social club car park or in the drop off zone.  Please respect also that special transport taxis and education agency colleagues do have access to our car park because they are on scheduled business.  I need EVERYONE to comply with this now.  Thanks to those parents who I spoke with last week and listened.  The bottom line is that I do not want any child being knocked over by a car or vehicle, in a place where it should not be.

Parking at Belgrave Club - We have been informed that from September 2018 the club will continue to offer the facility of parking for parents/guardians.  Please be aware the cost for use of the car park is £5.00, per car, for the school year (club members are free).  Parking permits must be clearly displayed at all times.  The club will be carrying out random checks.  Please park in the designated parking spaces (not on yellow lines, hatched areas or in front of the bottle banks), adhere to the 5mph speed limit and follow the one way system.  Abuse of any kind towards the committee, staff and members of the club will not be tolerated and in any instance would be dealt with by the police.  We value this facility and respectfully request that parents/guardians park considerately and adhere to the above.  Parking permits are now available from the school office.  Thank you.

ParentPay - We are pleased to announce that from Monday 15th October 2018 we will be accepting payments online for items such as dinner money, school trips and school fund.  Using a secure website called ParentPay you will be able to pay online using your credit or debit card or continue to make cash payments at PayPoint stores.  ParentPay usernames and activation codes were sent home with your child last week, PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT READY TO USE FROM MONDAY 15TH OCTOBER, from this date all payments to school should be made via ParentPay.  Thank you.

Year 6 Secondary Transfer - Please ensure that your secondary applications are processed in good time.  Do not leave it until the deadline day at the end of October to process your application.  Please note that if applying for a school such as St. Francis of Assisi, supplementary form must be included and you will need to provide proof of baptism, if the child is a baptised Catholic.  Again, ensure you don’t leave accessing a copy of the Baptismal Certificate until the last moment.  Thank you.

PANTS -

We use the NSPCC approach in school to discuss and emphasise to children how to keep themselves safe and the fact that our bodies belong to us and that no one should ever seek to see or touch our private parts.  Please take time to regularly talk to your children about this.  Thank you.
