Black History Month

Tuesday by David Weisner

Children in Year 3 have been studying the book Tuesday by David Weisner as part of their Flow topic. They have been using their inference and deduction skills to find out how the classroom became covered in lily pads overnight!

Children questioned witnesses Mr Bright and Mrs Morgan to ascertain if they knew who the culprits were.

Icarus and Daedalus

As part of our Gods and Mortals topic, children created their own script for the story of Icarus and Daedalus. Children made their own costumes and set design within Art and ICT lessons. Children used the untuned percussion instruments to accompany the songs during the production.

Harry Potter Day

As part of our Heroes and Villains topic we dressed up as our favourite Harry Potter character for the day. We used oil pastels and chalk pastels to create portraits of our favourite character.

Stone Age.

As part of our Stone Age topic we became archaeologists for the day and used tools and brushes to find fossils and bones. We them sorted and categorised our finds, using the library books to help us determine what our artefact would most likely be.
