The Board of Governors at St Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational practising Catholic leader to the post of Deputy Headteacher.
St. Gabriel’s Catholic Primary School has 378 pupils on roll and is located in Tamworth, Staffordshire. We are a key part of our parish, local and wider community with strong links established over a significant number of years. Our pupils are hardworking and show a passion for learning. Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in March 2022 and we were judged to be Good. Our CSI inspection took place in November 2023, this was also judged to be Good.
We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will build on our current successes and provide vision, energy and strong leadership skills to support our new Headteacher by providing the best education for the children in our care.
We are looking for a committed and practising Catholic with a strong personal faith and a clear vision of the distinctive role of Catholic Education.
We are seeking a Deputy Headteacher who:
• Has a clear vision and understanding of the value and purpose of Catholic education and a commitment to growing our Catholic ethos throughout the whole school community.
• Will be able to work effectively with other leaders, including the Headteacher and governors, to take an active and im-pactive role in leadership and management and whole school development.
• Is a highly effective classroom practitioner, able to share their expertise to support the development of colleagues.
• Has experience of taking a lead role in curriculum development and assessment.
• Will be a visible presence in our community
• Will be empathetic in their care for our staff, children and their families.
