Jesus is our Light of the World and in Year 2 we try to follow his footsteps in all we think, say and do. By following his example, we try to be the very best disciple we can be every day, whilst discerning our vocation of who God is calling us to be.
The children in Year 2 will be encouraged to demonstrate our Gospel Virtues and ‘to pray together, care for each other and learn together’ in school, at home and in our local community.
This year, we will be working with your child to develop and support their wellbeing, spirituality and academic learning. We offer an exciting and creative curriculum and encourage all our children to be the best they can be in every aspect of school life. We will be continuing to develop the children’s confidence and independence so that they are able to access their learning in a variety of ways.
Our topics for this year are: Wriggle and Crawl, Towers, Tunnels and Turrets, Street Detectives, Beat Band Boogie, Scented Garden and Land Ahoy.
Year 2 is a very important year as the children prepare for their end of Key Stage SATs.
