St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School

Year 6 - Welcome

page under development

Year 6 is a significant and exciting stage in your child’s primary school journey. As the final year of Key Stage 2, it brings new opportunities, greater responsibility and the chance for pupils to show just how much they have grown — both academically and personally. Children build on everything they have learned so far, developing maturity, independence and confidence as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. They also deepen their understanding across the curriculum and take on challenges that help them become resilient, reflective learners.

Alongside their academic progress, Year 6 is an important time for children to develop strong learning habits, positive friendships and a sense of pride in their achievements. We are here to support every child so they feel ready, capable and confident as they move towards the next stage of their education.

If you need to talk to us at any point, you are welcome to do so. The school office can also help arrange a meeting with the class teacher.
