Welcome to the Year 3.

Year 3 is a very important year in school because it is the children’s transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. We aim to encourage and nurture an increase in your child’s independent skills as they move into Key Stage 2.  We teach through the use of the curriculum maestro topics to make your child’s experience of school as exciting as possible and to hook them into learning a range of subjects through a mutual theme. This enriches the children’s understanding of the purpose and context of their learning enabling them to make links between subjects, which in turn will help your child to know more and remember more.

During Year 3, you will have the opportunity to take part in the blessed sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion, which we will be honoured to guide you through. All of your child’s learning in Year 3 is rooted in the Gospel Virtues.
