Red Wednesday

Red Wednesday is an annual event organised by Aid to the Church in Need.

Red Wednesday highlights the suffering experienced by Christians (and people of other faiths) who are persecuted or discriminated against because of their faith or beliefs. Many churches, parishes, schools and communities across the world marked Red Wednesday through special events, activities and, especially, prayer.

To mark Red Wednesday, we asked the children (and staff) to wear red - either fully dressed in red or an item/s of red clothing. We also had a TEAMS assembly where we talked about why we mark Red Wednesday and pray for those people around the world who are not able to practice their faith in the way we are able to.
